Subj : Problem w/ cdparanoia and Lite-On To : alt.comp.os.linux,comp.os.linux From : Nick Colgan Date : Tue Sep 07 2004 02:41 am -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm having a problem running cdparanoia to rip tracks off of audio cds. It hangs without making any progress (OK, sometimes 1%) and doesn't respond to the interrupt key (CTRL-C). /var/log/messages reads: Sep 7 01:28:36 localhost kernel: ide-cd: cmd 0xbe timed out Sep 7 01:28:36 localhost kernel: hdc: lost interrupt My cdrom drive is a COMPAQ DVD-ROM LTD163 (Lite-On). I've tried cdparanoia on my other cd-rom drive (also a Lite-On; LITE-ON LTR-16102B) with the same results. The same thing happens when trying to copy audio cds in K3b (makes no progress). I'm using cdparanoia III release 9.8. Any help is appreciated.
