Solved it ^_^ (sorry)

Apparently, I need to have edea plugged in, otherwise it screws up the 
networking with sephiroth. Is this a standard 'problem', or is it fixable?

BTW edea is a RISC OS box (a Riscstation), if that has anything to do 
with anything.
