Subj : german special characters in Opera

Hi,
I'm Linux-newbie and have a small problem with Opera 7.54 running
under Suse 9.1. I've successfully installed the german language file
in Opera but in the menus and dialogues I see strange things instead
of the german umlauts. I've tried to change the character sets in
Opera, as well as coding tables in Opera and Yast but nothing worked.
Konqueror and the other stuff shipped with Suse don't show this
effect. Does anybody know what to do? Thanks, Jochen
