I tried each stick individually, my 2 512s and my 128. with just the 128 (which I've had since the initial build) memtest does not crash, and completes every test perfectly (I guess the best memory is that which you pay a premium for). when testing either of my 512s memtest will crash after less than 40 minutes, and does not give me a memory address, just hangs doing nothing, even after a whole hour. fortunately, i have an older, more stable, time-tested, working machine to post from. Since Memtest just hangs like that, does that mean i should scrap the 2 512s and get new ones, from a more trusted manufacturer? If so, could you name a few manufacturers to look at? help still much appreciated --Pandora Xero .
