It wasn't swept under the rug and our President at the time was forced to resign in disgrace. Name another country without any political corruption and I'll gladly move there.. > - bomb innocent civilians on different occasions Oh yeah right, we purposely sent bombs to kill innocent civilians, just cause our leaders were having a bad day. You really believe a civilized nation does things like that? If our leaders ordered such things, it would come to light.. Believe me, our news agencies love to dig up political dirt. If civilians got killed through any bomb of the US, I'm sure it wasn't intended for innocents. We're only after the bad guys that are trying to kill us, that's really all! > - go to war because another country alledgedly has weapons of > mass-destruction instead of naming the real reason Let's see the real reason?? We simply invaded Iraq to take their oil, right? While I agreee there were no WMDs found and the intelligence was wrong (btw, seems like I remember Russia supplied much of that intelligence). It still holds true, Saddam Hussien needed to be overthrown, most Iraqia agree. Even with the bad intel, I believe getting rid of Saddam was a good thing... I'm also wondering, if we invaded Iraq to get their oil, why are our gas prices going up so high? I'm paying almost 1/3 more than before. We're paying about two dollars per gallon, while Iraqis pay only 5 cents a gallon. With a price difference like that, sometimes I wish we would take a little of their oil.. > - sleep around crying for *moral* and *standards* > Americans are perhaps not "proud and elegant", but if you would be an > example of an average American (which I do not believe BTW), I'd think > you people are dumb and ignorant, *totally* unaware of what's out there > in the big bad world outside of your little island you are "proud" > enough to call a continent... Seems like the very same countries that throw stones are guilty of the same. Sure, we're not perfect by any means, but we rarely call other people stupid. Talk about putting people on the defensive! Oh well, I won't call you stupid, but I will call your remarks hurtful. I hope other people in your country are nicer and more tactful. By the way, we do live on a continent, not an island. We're also very aware of world events, at least all the people I know are.. Hope you have a wonderful day. Sincerely, Skip .
