I liked Mandrake just fine, until I tried to order a copy of 9.0 for a
client.  They charged the credit card the same day... and didn't ship.
And didn't ship.  I emailed them.  They didn't reply. And didn't ship.
I emailed them.  They didn't reply.  This cycle went on for a month.
I lost the client.  I had the credit card company reverse the
transaction, so I got my money back.  THEN they sent me an email
informing me of a delay.  I emailed them to cancel the order. They
shipped the package anyway.  I refused the package.

If that's how they do business, I want nothing to do with the idiots.
I switched to SuSE and and am quite happy about it.
