Subj : Re: ic2-proc To : comp.os.linux From : Kirth Gersen Date : Thu Aug 26 2004 01:58 am On my box, MSI KT3 mobo, and Linux 2.6.7 sensors-detect does not work either. It tells me to run a script to create all kinds of devices. I forgot to do just that. Anyhow, inspectection of my mobo told me what sensor chipset is used and that was all I needed, generating the proper kernel with the proper modules, rebooting and afterwards a modprobe -a w83781d and issueing the command: sensors simply works. Don't know how old Suse 8.1 is but you should use the latest stable lm_sensors version, currently 2.8.7 I believe. Visit their site at http://secure.netroedge.com/ and valuable knowledge will be yours!
