Subj : Evolution formats To : comp.os.linux From : BM Date : Sun Aug 22 2004 08:16 pm I'm a Windows user trying to make my way into Linux. My biggest (and only) hold up is e-mail. I use Outlook 2000, and its PST format. I am aware of Outport, and it seems to have done well for my calendar info, and mail. But the big thing is for my contacts (got too many to count), my tasks. At current I'm trying to use Thunderbird for mail as I work my way off Outlook. When I go to Linux I would like to use Evolution. What formats does Evolution use for contacts and for tasks? Are they compatable to Thunderbird? I see on Outport Evolution format. But I don't know what that is, and Novell's site is less then helpful in explaining the formats it uses for it's email app - as far as I can tell from my research. So any info/guidance you can give me I will greatly appreciate. Thanks, in advance, Haawk .
