How do I include an external resource into a Linux executable similar to 
the way resources can be included into a Windows or OS/2 executable? The 
linker documentation I have read suggests that it might be possible to 
do this sort of thing but I cannot find any examples.

I would appreciate it if someone could provide me with a pointer.
