Also, redhat 9 comes with a reinstal so that if your system gets hosed, you can reinstall it and keep your current setup. If you are using an earlier version of redhat, you can do an upgrade install and that will fix everything too and keep your settings and your stuff. I had to do that when I totally hosed xwindows in redhat 8. I popped in the rh9 disc set and did the upgrade.
