Sorry, not familiar w/ your sound card.  The only thing I can think of is
that the rear speaker volume controls might have strange or apparently
inappropriate names in your mixer interface.  Try altering all the
settings.

Assuming you are using ALSA, another thing to do is check that the
file /etc/asound.state is appropriately configured for your hardware.  For
this you will need to contact an ALSA guru and/or someone who has that
card themselves.
