Subj : Re: kernel panic booting problem ! To : comp.os.linux From : wilson.huang Date : Tue Aug 10 2004 08:48 pm I found out what the problem might be.. but not sure how to resolve it. My mb has 4 controllers, 2 IDE and other 2 for raid stuff. my primary master is mapped in hde and my secondary master is mapped in hdg linux is mapping hda, hdb, hdc and hdd: ide0: BM-DMA at 0xa00-0xa007, BIOS settings:hda:pio, hdab:pio settings:hdc:pio, hdad:pio Raid is already disabled by jumpers, and I´ve setted PIO to 0(zero) in BIOS. Linux still maps hda, hdb, hdc, hdd as mentioned above. When i run /sbin/lilo it adds everything ok: * gentoo windows so I guess the problem might be another stuff.. anybody any ideas ?? tks Wilson .
