Subj : Re: installing Linux on Win2000 HD, boot order mixed up, nothing working To : comp.os.linux From : starsurvivor Date : Tue Aug 03 2004 04:17 am Have you tried resetting the BIOS? On my mobo (motherboard) there is a jumper that can be pulled out (or half way up the pin) to reset the BIOS to it's factory defaults. I am pretty sure that means resetting everything including any password that might have been set. I suggest you look into that and to also check online for the manual of yr mobo, if you don't already have it. The manual should explain and show you in detail where the jumper is located on yr board... None the less it is normally pretty easy to find, regardless if you have the manual or not... Good Luck and don't try that magnet thing :) -- starsurvivor - Confusion is Sex! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ starsurvivor's Profile: http:/linuxcult.com/forum/member.php?action=getinfo&userid=450 View this thread: http://linuxcult.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=7309 .
