Subj : What is this .sheep/ that appeared in my home folder? To : comp.os.linux From : Paul Nolan Date : Thu Jul 29 2004 05:39 am Sometime this evening, a folder called .sheep appeared in my home folder, containing the files gen165 (empty), id (the word 'none') and lock (empty). I only noticed this when pon and kppp both failed to connect to the internet. My modem seemed fine, and an AT&F did nothing to help, so I went searching for unusual stuff in my home folder that might stop this. When I deleted .sheep, the problem went away. Is this a virus or something? If so, will it keep happening, or was it just a one off? Thanks, Paul. -- Paul Nolan Veni veni venias - ne me mori facias! .
