Had a similar problem wth my HP5150, so I did a groups.google trawl
through the Linux newsgroups and was lucky enough to spot a reference to
the HP5550 as having the same technical base, and SuSE 9.0 Pro has a
driver for the 5550.
	I had been on the point of giving up on Linux, but I'm glad I didn't and
have happily relegated WinXP to odd jobs.
