Subj : Sata v SCSI To : comp.os.linux From : Mike Keithley Date : Wed Jul 28 2004 03:19 am Hello group: I'm doing research to bun a new computer. It's essentially a workstation but the faster the drives the better! It will be running Windows (XP) and Linux (2.4.26/Slackware) on separate hard drives. Questions: How does SATA perform compared to SCSI? Will there be more compatibility problems with SATA then with SCSI? If SCSI is better, where do I find motherboards with on-board SCSI controllers? Thanks .
