Subj : X, Mozilla, Fonts, wdm vs. startx ? To : comp.os.linux From : Shadow_7 Date : Fri Jul 23 2004 06:04 pm When I start X with startx mozilla and other apps show really big fonts. If I start X with wdm the fonts are smaller and more normal. I'm not quite sure why this is different. Can someone point out what's different, or what I can do to use startx and have my fonts be like they are when wdm is used? set shows virtually identicle environment variables. I've tried setting the geometry and other options, none of which make a difference. Wdm shows "X -nolisten TCP" as the way the it runs X in ps -aux. I've tried doing that without wdm and I still get big fonts. Any hints / tips / workarounds? XFree86 - v4.3.0 Kernel - 2.6.8-rc2 Debian - (sid) Mozilla - 1.7 WM - IceWM Thanks, Shadow_7 .
