Subj : Sftp/Sftpd incompatibilities

I have Sftpd running on the Linux box on Redhat 9.  I can sftp fine from
the Linux box to itself.  However, running sftp from a Windows box to
the Linux box causes a hang or exit on the Windows client.  I ran
different sftp clients, including the Putty one, Psftp.

Is this an incompatibility problem or set-up issue?  I ran the sftpd
that came with Rh9 as well as the latest RPM, but both behave similarly.
I have managed to run Windows sftp (incl. Psftp) to some other
non-Linux Unix machines and it works properly.

Has anyone come across this problem before?
