Hi!
 I'm using RH7.0 and perl5.004_04 and trying to update on Perl 5.8.3.
 When I run 'sh Config' than I get messages:
 
Uh-oh, the C compiler doesn't seem to be working..
ld: cannot open crt1.o: No such file or directory.

The C compiler seems to be installed, it is 2.7.2.3 version.

I got stumbled , because when I try to install new cc compiler, I go
around cirle with *.rpm distributions(each one needs another to be
installed yet)

So , people, I'm in desperate.

what should I do?
Any suggestions would be appreciated
