Subj : how to make vncserver work on red hat 8.0

I use my desktop with win2k and vnc viewer to connect my lab pc with
red hat linux 8.0, I checked service and found vncserver is on, I also
ran vncserver once and it asked me to type password, I typed. then I
tried to connect from my desktop, it always report "Failed to connecto
to server". what does this mean, how can I make it work. thanks.
