I am terribly sorry. It was not my intention to insult anyone.  I have
been fighting this problem for over a week now and I have had three
different switches that exhibited similarly wrong behavior.  I spoke
to the Tech support department of the store where I bought them and I
called the Tech Support line of the manufacturer, but no one could
help me, so I was at my wits end.  I naively thought that posting in
more places would result in more responses.  I did not mean to demean
anyone and I will refrain from with faut pas.
