However, any build will do really so long as it's a well put together distro. I prefer Red Hat 8.0. This is a matter of personal taste more than anything. check out http://distrowatch.org/ to find out about all the different distros out there. Distrowatch also catagorizes releases by their type , or intended audience. http://www.justlinux.com/ is a good place to start for tips for first time users, but if your into IRC, and if your getting into linux you should be, join to irc.freenode.net , and chat with some of the people in the different help channels there. There are masses of resources out there to help you get started. Search for Linux in Google. ;) .
