Subj : LILO timeout not changing

I have slackware 10 installed on my machine, by default they set lilo 
timeout at 120, so every time my computer boots it sits there for 2 mins 
if I don't select anything. I edited my /etc/lilo.conf so that the 
timeout is at 5, but every time I reboot it still shows 2 mins. Is there 
something else I need to do?
