Subj : adding a RAID drive

I want to add a third drive to my RAID1, but I want it to be added as
an active drive and not a spare. Is there a way to do this? It still
says [2/2] even though there are 3 drives

md2 : active raid1 /dev/hda1 /dev/hdb1 /dev/hdc1
