Subj : P4P800 Asus Motherboard and Ethernet

I'm running Slackware 9.1 using a Asus P4P800 motherboard with built in
3Com 3c940 Gbit PCI controller.  The ethernet controller works except
being able to connect to Google.com.  I know there is a problem with this
particular driver and connecting to Google.  I have the most current
driver off the Asus webpage, but still doesn't work.  Does anyone know if
its been fixed, or has a work around? I'm tired to trying to find stuff
with Yahoo.
