For an MTA, Exim is good too. Very easy to combine it with SpamAssassin and CramAV (virusscanner). For IMAP and POP3 I use Courier. Not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? .
