Subj : RFE: parsing additional date formats

Could additional methods be added to the date object to support parsing
of RFC3339, xsd:dateTime, W3CDTF dates, and the relevant subset of
ISO8601? These formats are identical with a few small exceptions. I've
seen five parsers for these dates implemented this week. It seems like
something that the Date object should handle.
