Subj : the XML object in E4X To : netscape.public.mozilla.jseng From : Jon Brisbin Date : Thu Aug 25 2005 11:20 am Of what Java classtype underlies the E4X "XML" object in Rhino? For example: I have a DOM4J document tree that I am appending to using various "actions" (SQL, JavaScript, etc...) and I have to currently create my own, Rhino-specific DOM to use the E4X conventions against, then write a special method that turns that XML into a string and inserts it into the DOM4J tree. Assuming that the XML object represents a W3C Document object, I could do the conversion and "declareBean" (I use BSF) on *that* object--and do the insertion into the DOM4J tree--in my Java code and skip having to do it in JavaScript.
