Subj : Speeding up script execution To : netscape.public.mozilla.jseng From : Martin Bialasinski Date : Tue Jul 26 2005 12:21 pm Hello, I hacked up the drag&drop libary from http://script.aculo.us/drag-and-drop to allow for nested drag&drop sortable lists. The result is http://test.reasonmaker.com/sort/ and it works nicely. The only problem is speed. In Opera8, Safari and IE (running in vmware on a 1Ghz box), everything runs smoothly. But Firefox has problems keeping up with the mouse, it munches the CPU and reacts jerky :-( Are there any known typical things that cause Mozilla to loose so much ground in comparison to other browsers? Any help appreciated. Bye, Martin .
