Hi Brendan,

I only thought i wasnt using JS_NewString.... after several frustrating
days i figured i was... and that is what was causing the
trouble...replacing it with JS_NewStringCopyN fixed the problem...

apologies for wasting your time... i paid the price for not being
attentive 'enough'

Thanx for your support though.. it did help me isolate and get to the
problem.

I don't know if you might be interested in this.. but i am building a
couple of prototypes.. partly with the objective of selecting a
suitable ECMA interpreter for our development work.. so far the data
shows that Spidermonkey is faster than a commercial library called
ScriptEase... for our application anyway.... Do you have any pointers
to performance related data comparing Spidermonkey with other
Interpreters..
