I don't think it will do either of us any good for me to answer questions one by one here. With garbage collection, manual deallocation is never required, and garbage may point to live things, but so long as live things do not point to the garbage, it will be collected. If your parent links to children through private data (not through object slots, i.e., the normal property storage mechanism), then you might use JSClass.mark. /be .
