Subj : Rhino Host Object versus importPackage

What exactly is the difference between a Host Object and objects
through importPackage? It seems that the host objects cannot have
overloaded jsFunction_xxxx(...) methods but stuff from importPackage
could. So besides ability to add dynamic properties to the host object,
it's actually more beneficial to do it through importPackage. Is this
right?
