Subj : rpms of 1.5rc6 To : netscape.public.mozilla.jseng From : Ben Jackson Date : Tue May 18 2004 01:59 am Hi there, I'm not sure if this is the correct newsgroup for this, so i appologise if its off-topic. I noticed on the ftp site that rpms appear only to be available for 1.4rc4. I presumed that this was due to noone getting around to building the packages for the latest rc, so, I bit the bullet and compiled them myself (as i like to keep my rpm database up to date with my system). I am by no means a skilled packager, and i litterally extracted the specfile from the current rpm, and modified the version strings. I have built the packages (on Fedora Core) including a source package, and they all seem to build ok (at least on my system!) I was merely wondering if i could/should contribute these packages to the spidermonkey team, as i am using the engine in a game and have found it to be exceptionally useful and easy to use (good work guys!). regards Ben Jackson .
