not neccessary - found the problem as follows:
referencing:
parent.PanelRight.img1.src='SA-Button.gif' ...works in IE6

....but Mozilla seems to need the document object:
parent.PanelRight.document['img1'].src='SA-Button.gif' ...

....which flares an 'not an object' error in IE.

No way to make it compatible? - Anyone?
