What exactly do you mean by "I find that the GC is being called twice?" 
  Give some example or test code, please.  If you mean that a finalizer 
is called twice for a given object incarnation, that would be a bad bug. 
  But no such bug has been reported, and the GC does finalization in a 
non-nesting fashion.
