Greetings

I'm using DHTML that only works in netscape 7 and later more specifically:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20020823 
Netscape/7.0. I assume that all Gecho powered browsers made on and after 
that date will work with what I'm doing.

My question is, can't I just match navigator.productSub >= 20020823 
only?  Is there any reason why I should be concerned with the branch tag?
