I double-checked and : yes the /OPT:NOICF flag is set.

I am also irritated by the fact that jsshell runs fine with respect
to the function when compiled with VC.net. It doesn't have
the NOICF flag set, so I assume the problem is somewhere else.

Can someone check my code to make sure there is no stupid
error in there? (But why would it run on VC6 then?)
