Subj : want to create a bookmarklet to open the sidebar To : netscape.public.mozilla.jseng From : cherold@onmagazine.com (Charles Herold) Date : Thu Aug 28 2003 11:43 pm Inexplicably, while the Netscape browser has a little button to click on to open the sidebar, Mozilla lacks this feature, which has always annoyed me. So tonight I thought, perhaps it's possible to create a bookmarklet that would open and close the sidebar which I could put on my toolbar. But I've been searching around for an hour and the only thing I've seen referenced is SidebarShowHide(), which sounds good but when I typed javascript:SidebarShowHide(), nothing happened. Can someone tell me how to do this? If no one knows of a function but can tell me how to make the browser think the F9 key has been hit that should work as well. .
