Subj : Learning the JavaScript debugger Venkman (tutorial) To : netscape.public.mozilla.jsdebugger,netscape.public.mozilla.jseng From : svendtofte@svendtofte.com (svend) Date : Wed Aug 27 2003 11:51 pm Hey everyone, I've finally finished a rather large tutorial I've written on Venkman. It doesn't cover all the small details, but it covers all major aspects, as far as I'm aware. It was written with the "normal" JavaScript programmer in mind, that most likely hasn't dealt with debuggers before (and therefore, most is kept GUI only). You may find it here: http://www.svendtofte.com/code/learning_venkman/ I'd love comments on it, and if anything could be improved, or if anything isn't as clear as it could be. The page is rather large (600kb+), but I feel it gives it a more tutorial like feel, where the user is less likely to get lost. Regards, Svend And many thanks to Robert Ginda, for answering alot of annoying questions about Venkman, and for writing the best debugger for JavaScript. .
