Subj : PAC support in SpiderMonkey To : netscape.public.mozilla.jseng From : Heath Raftery Date : Mon Aug 11 2003 01:25 am Hi folks, I wrote not too long ago to get some help compiling SpiderMonkey on Mac OS X. The advice was great and it is now up and running. My main purpose for using SM was actually to parse proxy automatic configuration (PAC) files in my application. I've since discovered that SM doesn't support the PAC extension functions out of the box! These include isInNet(), isPlainHostName(), shExpMatch() and so forth. After some googling, it seems others have discovered this also but could not find a solution (at least didn't document it). This file actually has source for the functions, but they are in Perl instead of JavaScript. This person appears to have implemented the functions himself, I think. I'm hoping not to re-invent the wheel and so was wondering if anyone knew how I might easily include these functions in my code.
