Subj : SpiderMonkey under NPL/GPL/LGPL triple license? To : netscape.public.mozilla.jseng From : robertfsayre@hotmail.com (Robert Sayre) Date : Sun Mar 02 2003 09:35 am In the Mozilla Relicensing FAQ (http://www.mozilla.org/MPL/relicensing-faq.html), one of the questions is "What Mozilla code has already been relicensed?" The answer states that: "We have also taken advantage of this provision in order to change the licensing on some Mozilla source files currently licensed under the NPL/GPL, including the JavaScript engine source code in the js directory; again the new license will also be an NPL/GPL/LGPL triple license." So, the FAQ states that this provision has been invoked, yet alludes to a new/future licensing arrangement. The notices in the source remain NPL/GPL, so I'm assuming the change has yet to be made. I was hoping someone could provide a status and/or clarification on the licensing situation. .
