Is there any way for a JS program to talk directly to, say, a servlet?
 I'd like my JS app to make an HTTP request, get back the response,
and parse it.  I cannot figure out how to do this without going
through something like Java or Flash.  Sorry if this is a FAQ kind of
question, or if this is the wrong ng.  Thanks.
