Subj : [OT] NEVER BUY A DELL

This is off topic but i just need to VENT!  The purpose of this story is to
let people know NEVER to buy a dell computer.   I have a dell demention 2350
(Pentium 4, 1.8Ghz) and it was turing off after 3-5 minutes.   Well the 4"
Plastic peice that screws to the motherboard (Where the fan clips connect
to) was broken.  So the fan was not properly pulled down on the cpu, thus it
was over heating.   So, I called dell customer service.  After being
transfered around about 4-6 times, hung up on once, and spending 30+ min on
the phone I finally got to the parts department.  I spend $15.33 for the
black plastic cpu clip.   Well, 4 wonderful days later, I received in the
mail Two Metal fan clips (not what i wanted!) I need the plastic 4" square
peice the metal clips they sent me attach to.  So, back to the 800 number
for more of a hassle.  After being transfered around again and over a hour
on the phone I was told the parts that they sent me can not be returned
because they do not accept returns on small parts..  Well, If you order a
coffee mug and someone sends you a fork, I bet you would be pissed too, they
sent the totally wrong parts.    So, they will not accept the return, no
problem.. $15 learning experience, so they transfer me back to the parts
department for the 4" plastic cpu fan holder.. Which is NOT available
anymore, and they will not be getting more in.. So, needless to say, my 11
month old dell is USELESS!!!!   I looked at a different pentium 4
motherboard i have here to see if I could rob the bracket, but the screw
holes dont even come close!

So, in closing, my machine, which is 11 months old and under warantee is
dead!  They will not accept returns on items that were not even close to
what you ordered, even when i threatened to call the Better Bueiness Bureau
the manager chuckled and says "You do what you think you need to do"  Not,
send your pc back and we will replace it!  Not, sorry, here let me send you
a new motherboard.. Just a chuckle/laugh and a big "FUK U"
