Subj : Re: What's the worth? To : alt.bbs.doors From : "brad" Date : Sat Feb 21 2004 01:31 am the tw2002 rights i think to a web based version of the game were sold i think....i forget what they call the web based version of tw2002 ..it think it is like 2002 twilight or some such.... the author pretty much stopped making beta's and improvements to the tw2002 reg door/server type game that exits now....or so i thought..he had a tw2002 v1.11 build 55 was 2yrs ago in feb of 2002 was last.. yesterday (coincidence to this post) i hit the tw2002 beta site http://www.eisonline.com/twgs/beta/ and lo..and behold he had a new couple versions from feb 4th and 17th more less a ver tw2002 1.11 v.56 and a v.57 ...they were like 4.8megs or some such anyway...i'd say that as long as the author seems to have gotten the urge to play with the server version again...maybe you should contact him about the linux port project or maybe just other goodies you could add to expand the game...with his source i'm sure the project would be easier ...or he may just tell you you are nuts..and direct you to the web based tw2002 project instead if/when i ever get my site back up (i hate static ip prices) at www.lost-gonzo.com (still down) i'd pop it back up in a minute..as it is my site was huge ..and i'd prob have to start a retro computer club just to get 4 sysops (assuming i could find that many in mankato, minnesota) just to lever the beast back on its feet anyway that is what i know..you can get the actual registration for tw2002 server (16node) etc etc gold version at http://www.eisonline.com and if you have proof of some kind that you are/were/was had an old registered version of tw2002 door or server in the past...the upgrades are FREE....with contact to them anyway good luck brad former sysop lost-gonzo.com (still down) "Darryl Perry" wrote in message news:c39c8d76.0402201202.344bb28b@posting.google.com... > Over time I have mentioned to others here in this group about honing > their programming skills and rewriting new versions of long-dead > doorgames.
