Subj : AVL C library unencumbered by the GPL? To : comp.programming From : jfathman Date : Wed Sep 21 2005 08:36 am Hello, I need straight C (not C++) AVL source for an embedded product. I like the looks of GNU libavl, but I am concerned about the impact of the GPL on my otherwise closed source. If I use GNU libavl in my product and do not open my other source, am I in violation of the GPL? Can you recommend any alternative AVL C source of similar quality that is not encumbered by the GPL? (I don't have a personal issue with the GPL, and I use and enjoy GPL'd software every day. The closed source in question is the intellectual property of my employer. It is not mine to contribute.) Thanks. Jim .
