Subj : Pseudo-code examples for small communication systems on the Internet

Hi,

I was asked to design a small system which sends messages from a Unix
to a distant computer over X25.

My question is:
Is it possible to find examples (written in pseudo-code) for such
systems on the Internet?
It would be nice to see some suggestions with cons and pros for each
and than to choose one which is the best for me.
