I know the topic was legacy, but we'd want to mention the top N
current languages as well, including:

Java 
C#/VB.net
ASP+/.net
Javascript
HTML/DHTML/XSLT/XML (is a markup language a language? is a transform
language?  whatever)
SQL/TSQL/PL/SQL
Perl
Unix shells
....
