Probably the best way to gaurantee a successful experience with any unknown group is to test the waters. If you feel that outsourcing a large amount of work is necessary, try to know that ahead of time and find one or more groups to fullfill smaller goals. You can then find which groups work better with you and fullfill your needs. You may then have some idea what portion of the larger project you are able to entrust to the groups you have successfully worked with. The reliability of your development team, no matter where they are located, is just one more variable you must account for when planning your project and assessing its risks. David .
