What programming discipline are you studying C# or VB for your certification? You should make sure you include MS SQL Server 2000. You should have at least a MCAD possibly with developing WEB applications using VB.NET or C# .NET, developing Windows-Based applications using VB.NET or C# ..NET before hitting the interview door and SQL Server 2000. Most go the C# route as jobs are more plentiful using C# as opposed to VB.NET as VB.NET is proprietary to MS and C# is not. > 2) preparing interview questions from www.techinterviews.com , > http://www.geocities.com/dotnetinterviews/ and freshers guide for .NET > Jobs. Well, they are going to make you take the brain teaser tests and screen you out if you cannot pass the tests. > 3) I have also taken a computer and doing some small snippets. That's not good enough you need to do a small project in .NET and kind of really understand what is happening. So when you hit the interview door you can really look like you know more than the average. What locked me in on .NET was Expert C# Business Objects ISBN 1-59059-344-8 that takes you through an entire project/solution with one part of the project showing you how to program and implement the project with ASP using C# .NET and the other part showing how to do it as a Windows Desktop Web application using the Web server along with showing you other aspects of ..NET technology in application development. You do that and you'll for sure know what's happening when you hit the interview door. There is another book and its focus is on VB. > Any more things which can give be boost for live interviews is useful. You should get the MS MCAD/MCSD Self-Paced Training KIT that covers using VB and C# that comes right down the line with developing ASP, Windows Desktop, XML Web Services and Server Components using VB or C# .NET. If you really want to pass those certification tests, then get the kit above which also is a good place to start in training yourself on how to use .NET. Also use the Transcender certification testing tools to help pass the certification tests. The key about the certification testing is that you must schedule the tests drop the money while you're studying for one kind of force yourself with a dead line and go or you are liable to procrastinate and not do it. You go through those books and understand what's happening and show that you have for the most part put out an effort you'll get a job. Duane :) Duane :) .
