Who we are: 
The Programmers' Guild is an organization of engineering and Information 
Technology professionals who are dedicated to the preservation and growth 
of American jobs in ALL aspects of technology ranging from design and 
development through implementation and manufacturing.
Our goals:  
Promote American economic growth and guarantee America's technological 
leadership; 
Reduce importation of nonimmigrant worker visas in engineering and IT; 
Reduce offshore outsourcing of high technology jobs; 
Implement certification and licensing of software and IT professionals in 
a manner similar to teaching, legal and medical professions and 
Increase and enforce standards by which software is designed, developed 
and implemented.
Activities: 
Monthly meetings on every second Tuesday; 
Public awareness of high technology unemployment problems via media 
channels such as newspapers, radio and television; 
Continual lobbying of elected officials at local, state and federal 
levels; 
Networking of colleagues and fellow professionals and 
Self education, technical currency and professional skill seminars.
